December 31, 2002: Year In Review

After a somewhat shaky start to the year in January, my life picked up drastically by the beginning of February. After a great interview, I landed the perfect job for me: the assistant band director position at

  1. Note–before anyone says anything, my “2002 in Review” post only deals with me. That’s not because I’m being selfish… it’s because I’m the only person I can control. I hope that in other people’s “2002 in Review” posts they will be able to be happy once again.

  2. Have you tried Sibelius? It’s about the same price but I liked it a lot better. You can download it for free at Kazaa but it takes a while. Glad to hear you’ve found passion in teaching. At least around here, music teachers are hard to find…those with passion are even fewer. Good luck in the future. 🙂

  3. I’ve played with Sibelius, but I’m pretty loyal to Finale. 🙂

    I haven’t found the passion yet — hopefully if some of the above plays out true, I will. I will be visiting the program tomorrow to talk more with some of the people involved. This could be good…
