Tomorrow morning, I’m leaving for the Connecticut Music Educators Association conference, and I won’t be back until Saturday. But I’m not sticking around long–Saturday evening I’m going to Anna’s house for Passover dinner. After that, I’m heading out to Lancaster for a second Seder on Sunday. Then of course, right back to work Monday morning. So if you’re still complaining about my webcam picture, you’ll have to deal with it for a while.
You are cruel making us look at that picture!! Just kidding. Safe travels Spike.
A seder in Lancaster? That’s incredible!
I didn’t even know the Amish celebrated Passover.
Why is it you always seem to be in Lancaster when I’m not? 🙁 hey, State College is only 2 1/2 hrs west of Lancaster….lol
how come a lot of my posts get 3 astericks after them? i don’t put them there….
umm, yeah, because we all know that *everyone* in Lancaster is Amish…I’ll be sure to bring you all back some pretzels, too.
hey! i’ll be in lancaster this weekend too. only i’m going friday night for randi’s concert and returning saturday for my own seder.
Hey hey hey, of course we have seders in Lancaster! We have Jewish people, and modern medicine, and electricity, and running water… 🙂
(Spike, the comments work now on my Netscape, by the way.)
I *love* telling ppl that i live in Lancaster…the most-heard comment? “wow. are you Amish?” I so want to tell them that yes I am and I use a gerbil powered laptop to get my e-mail…
When I was a freshman in college and had to do all of those obligatory ice-breaker things where you introduce yourself to 30 other freshmen who don’t give a crap about what you’re saying…someone asked me if I drove a buggy. And they were serious.
Becca- I would say you’re pretty lucky if people *ask* you if you’re Amish. Most people I’ve met just assume everyone in Lancaster is Amish. Or they ask a lot of questions about it. But then again, I pretty much assume that everyone from Utah is Mormon….
You get the asterisks because Spike has a block on certain things that he finds annoying, like the abbreviation for “lots of laughter.”
Alissa – you’re kidding, right? someone actually asked you if you drove a buggy? that’s so silly. As for the block…thats also silly =P
