Yesterday I walked into the office next to mine and spotted co-workers watching TV. It was a news program — an aerial shot of a Ryder truck driving along a freeway. “What is this, a California slow car chase?” I asked. They were watching the Ballots being brought from wherever to Tallahassee, the capital of Florida. Quite exciting. The news anchor made a remark, something like, “We take you now to the O.J.-cam…”

The word now most often used in search engine referrals to my website here is tsontes. I don’t even know what it means. Is it Greek? Someone please tell me…
So I finally signed up
So I finally signed up for EZPass yesterday. I couldn’t find any evidence to support that they will give automatic speeding tickets to those drivers whose average speed is determined to be higher than the limit by timing the entry and exit to the highway. This should speed up my commute a little bit, since a lot of time is wasted at the toll booths. I was able to cut down the wasted time in the first place by not driving during rugh hour. But with EZPass, the tolls are cheaper, too, so it’s a bonus.
Another seemingly appropriate horoscope today:
Another seemingly appropriate horoscope today:
Pisces:
Situations regarding your home life, property, or the creation of a new lifestyle may seem interminable. You have to focus on matters at the base of your life, but that shouldn’t prevent you from enjoying friends and associates. If you think you’ll never have the kind of home you really want, change your sense of direction to express more of your creativity. Your partners may tend to be somewhat judgmental now. Take time to reassure others.
I love New Jersey. Tonight
I love New Jersey. Tonight as I was exiting the turnpike at Interchange 9 (New Brunswick), the car two spots ahead of me was taking his sweet old time getting his money out for the toll collector. This was clearly making the car in front of me very, very unhappy. He was turning his steering wheel back and forth, moving closer to the other car, sticking his head out the window, and holding his arms up in the air. All at the same time.
The car at the booth finally pulled away and the one in front of me pulled up to the guy taking the money. The driver just sort of left his money there on the edge of the booth for the collector to find and drove off, probably uttering some type of obscenity in the process.
The toll collector was quite unhappy about this situation, and called back to the car as it was screeching away, “Come back here, f*cker!” I pulled up, payed my toll in exact change, but before I could slip away, he defended his position to me by muttering, “F*cking coward.”
It’s a pleasure driving in New Jersey. Everyone should do it at least once in their life.

Update on that last entry — the picture gallery now works with Netscape 6, except for the captions. Netscape 4.7 still doesn’t want to show the pictures correctly at all.

We had a little party
We had a little party at Stacey’s tonight. Besides the usual crew, some old faces showed up. Avram was there, Pamella was there, Amy was there, Lynda was there, and so was the other Stacey. Randi was in attendance, as well as Darren and Bryan. We played a few rounds of the new Taboo game and ate some food. Some pictures will surely follow, but for now, enjoy this picture of myself, taken in a mirror. The colors are a little screwy but we do what we can, I guess. There was a website that was keeping track of these, but I seem to have misplaed the link. If anyone remembers seeing it, please email me so I can submit this photo!
Thanksgiving dinner was great. This
Thanksgiving dinner was great. This should be a relaxing weekend with little else going on other than cleaning and socializing. And some good news for me: my CD burner is mysteriously working again.
