Does this ever happen to

Does this ever happen to you? You’re taking a shower and concentrating intently on a frustrating issue. You shampoo and rinse your hair, and while you are thinking about the things bothering you, you apply more shampoo, forgetting that you already washed your hair. No? It doesn’t happen to you? I guess I’m just weird.

I am back from an enjoyable trip to Baltimore. I was there on business, but I did have some time to walk around the Inner Harbor. I hadn’t been there in a long time, so there were a few changes. They’ve added some huge restaurants, including the ESPN Zone. Unfortunately, the place where I really wanted to eat, the Chart House, is no longer there. Yes, people claimed they thought it was still there and I probably just missed it, but I checked their website, and they do not have a Baltimore location listed. Reading deeper into an other website I find that the Baltimore location was closed at least by the end of March of 2000. Allegedly, they did not even give notice of their closure to their employees.

So I saw Janeane Garofalo

So I saw Janeane Garofalo at Caroline’s Comedy Club in Manhattan. There were two warm-up acts who were both pretty good. I can’t say I was blown away by the comedy from any of them, but it was lots of fun, and I did laugh a lot. It’s always nice to go into the city, even though it was freezing and incredibly windy. The show started at 12:30 am, and I don’t think I got home last night until 4:00.

And then there’s the one

And then there’s the one poster to a Yahoo! message board who notes the match between Pepsi and Britney are perfect: “Both are: commercial products, stimulating in small doses, sickening in large doses, bubbly, sugary, artificially flavored and poisonous to the digestion.”

I never liked Pepsi anyway.

The past few days I’ve

The past few days I’ve seen interesting things on the Turnpike on the way to work. Yesterday, about 50 PSEG utility vehicles were parked along the shoulder of the Western Spur. Further north, by the 18W toll booth, a trailer of a large eighteen-wheeler was on fire, and firetrucks were approaching the opposite way through the toll booths. This morning, southbound and northbound traffic was held up by a MediVac helicopter that was landing and taking off after what looked to be a minor accident in the southbound car and truck lanes by exit 13A.
