I finally found out the

I finally found out the name of a certain song I like. I hear it every once in a while and it’s always fun because it plays around with the meter a little bit. It’s The Ocean by Led Zeppelin. The way I hear it, there’s a measure of four simple beats in half time, then a measure with two simple beats in half time followed by two compound beats (not in half time), with the sixteenth note staying equal throughout. If that made no sense to you, here’s a little diagram:

|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||| (sixteenth notes)
X|||X|||X|||X|||X|||X|||X||X|| (with beats)
1 + 2e+         1e+ 2e+ 3 a4 a (guitar rhythym)

Darren said this to me

Darren said this to me over ICQ today, in reference to the postings I made the night before:

You need to stop spending so much time online. You’re becoming one of those freaky scary people….:)

Maybe he’s right. Do you think I’m a freaky scary person? I think I just have insomnia. I think my stint with [DELETED] last year, where I drove during the night and slept during the day, put me over the edge.
