Update from the other day: My scanner now seems to be working correctly. Let’s hope it lasts; I don’t want to go through that mess again. The trade-off seems to be my CD writer. It choked three times trying to burn the Star Wars: The Phantom Menace soundtrack.

I managed to locate the journal I kept throughout high school. Reading through most of it made me realize how much better off I am now than I was then. I was pretty pitiful when it came to relationships then…
Then again, maybe I still am. But not quite as bad. I’ll put up exerpts as time goes by.

Here, I am, testing the new layout… None of the internal links actually work yet, so hold on for a little bit.

My scanner is officially a piece of crap. From now on, I should actually do research before buying computer products. Anyone know how to fix an HP ScanJet 3300C so it actually works? I already got the latest drivers and patches, and it still won’t run consistently. Now it won’t scan at all. Put a little bit of a damper on things like, I don’t know, web design.

I stepped out of my car and closed my door. The window was open. I looked up at the sky and thought to myself, It looks like it might rain later today. I looked at my open window again.
I proceeded to walk into my office.
Later, I went to Grand Union to get food for lunch — a short walk. As I was walking back, I passed my car. I found myself looking at my window, then up at the sky. I thought, It looks like it might rain later. I shrugged and walked inside.
It is now 2:30 or so in the afternoon and as I peer outside my office window, I see the rain coming down. Sigh.
About the new Batman movie:
About the new Batman movie: “And to keep its futuristic feel authentic, the studio has hired famed cyberpunk sci-fi novelist Neal Stephenson (Cryptonomicon) to act as a consultant on the story.” So this guy knows what the future is, and he is so sure about it that he’s willing to perform as a consultant? The authentic future??

Balance Bars are disgusting. Yet I keep eating them for lunch. Every day.
Tuesday Afternoon Something something something
I like that song.

Amazing! So this guy I saw via sattelite at a business-related seminar last Wednesday, Tom Peters, not only has a website (two, actually), but he actually has nine weblogs, powered by your favorite tool and mine — Blogger. Talk about progressive!
Tom talks about the future of business and new ideas needed to stay ahead of the game. The place where I work attempts to follow many of his philosophies.
