Someone must have something against me.

  • The credit card transfer (form a card with a high APR to a card with a low APR) still has not gone through and the payment due date is tomorrow.
  • My last paycheck which I deposited Saturday still hasn’t cleared, and I need that money.
  • There was a third thing, but I just can’t remember it right now. If you know what I was thinking, e-mail me.

Labor day weekend. This will be the last weekend I have to myself; I’ll be working at least one day every weekend until the middle of November. So what did I do this weekend?

Friday night was dinner and a movie (The Whole Nine Yards) at Stacey’s and Jen’s. Saturday I took a trip to Alissa‘s house (even though she was away) to pick up a mattress and a bookcase. Unfortunately I ended up leaving the shelves to the bookcase at her house. Saturday evening I went to dinner at my father’s friend Anna’s house up in Maplewood for a while, and arrived at Stacey’s in time for half of a movie (Dick).

Rebecca was in town so she hung out with us as well.

Sunday evening I was invited to dinner at Ali’s family’s house. I had some fun playing with Ali’s niece and nephew, and watching Star Wars. Eventually, Darren and I headed back to my apartment and watched The Hudsucker Proxy.

I’m just realizing this now, but I saw three and a half movies this weekend without paying for tickets or getting the bottom of my shoes sticky. Not bad. I am also just realizing now that I need a cell phone and I have to figure out exactly how I’m going to afford one.

I managed to locate the journal I kept throughout high school. Reading through most of it made me realize how much better off I am now than I was then. I was pretty pitiful when it came to relationships then…

Then again, maybe I still am. But not quite as bad. I’ll put up exerpts as time goes by.

My scanner is officially a piece of crap. From now on, I should actually do research before buying computer products. Anyone know how to fix an HP ScanJet 3300C so it actually works? I already got the latest drivers and patches, and it still won’t run consistently. Now it won’t scan at all. Put a little bit of a damper on things like, I don’t know, web design.

I stepped out of my car and closed my door. The window was open. I looked up at the sky and thought to myself, It looks like it might rain later today. I looked at my open window again.

I proceeded to walk into my office.

Later, I went to Grand Union to get food for lunch — a short walk. As I was walking back, I passed my car. I found myself looking at my window, then up at the sky. I thought, It looks like it might rain later. I shrugged and walked inside.

It is now 2:30 or so in the afternoon and as I peer outside my office window, I see the rain coming down. Sigh.
