Your favorite site for downloading television commercials will be back soon, as the Ad Age Group announces that it has purchased AdCritic.com. And I assume they mean all the content as well, not just the domain name.

Another Year, Passed Over
For those of you celebrating in Hebrew tradition tonight, chag sama’ach… or should I say freilicher yontov?
Probably Not Worth A Discussion Anyway
Anyone hear about the new ABC television show called Wednesday 9:30 (8:30 Central)? Seems like an interesting idea, but they might run into some problems with syndication.
Musicful Weekend
I had an enjoyable time at the Dar Williams concert at the Union County Arts Center. (Second row seats! Thank you, Heidi!) She seemed to be a little out of it, missing some words in her songs and a few chords here and there… but she sounded great as always.
Also, this weekend I received a surprise birthday present. It’s such beautiful music. Thank you, JessaJune!
Getting Over
Tonight’s horoscope (from My Yahoo):
Other people’s feelings are not your responsibility. Don’t let their well-being become your life project. Focus on yourself, and to reestablish a healthy structure for your life.
Why Am I So Crazy?
I decided to import my most recent Greymatter entries from fiveandtwenty.com into my journal. I also imported my older Blogger entries from my other website, but I had to go through and do a lot of editing, removing references to my prior workplace and taking email addresses out so spam robots won’t find them. It’s quite a chore. Unfrotunately, there’s still about five months of posts that I’m missing.
Just My Luck
As some of you know, I am contemplating moving far away from here. Maybe to the Baltimore area, maybe Washington, maybe Seattle.
So I took CNN’s Best Place To Live quiz which takes your preferences and matches you up with the most appropriate US location. It’s completely personalized and your detailed results, a listing of thirty cities, are unique for you.
So I took the quiz and it told me I should pack up all of my things and move…
… to New York. To quote my friend Charlie, “AAAAAAAUUUUGGGHHH!”
End Of The Free
Yahoo is going to start charging for their POP and forwarding email services. This means that people who used Netscape Mail our Outlook Express or a similar program to check their Yahoo mail (like I do) will no longer be able to do that without paying. Apparently, checking your mail over the Yahoo Mail website will still be free.
Interesting Language Anecdote
The development of the Modern Hebrew Language (based on an ancient language that had been out of use for hundreds of years) destroyed the tradition of the Yiddish language. That’s almost as bad as the French government’s attempts to regulate their language.
Now That Is Unfair
Would it be fair if someone got paid five times as much as you to do the same job and to do it much worse? Well this guy gets paid maybe five times more than me to do simple tasks. (Check third to last paragrpah.)
To be fair, while my salary will undoubtedly go up, his will only go down… and he can’t actually DO anything with his money.
