Dudley Moore’s Quiet Goodbye
First the article says that his funeral was attended by a handful of friends and family, and then puts the count at 75 people. Some of us would probably be lucky to have 25. I would say 75 is a bit more than a handful.
The article also says: Moore was equally known for his classically trained piano chops as for his comic stylings. I was just about to say it was odd to read an article that uses Biz lingo, but then I realized the article’s actually from E! Online‘s news service. That explains that.
75 people is a handful if you come from a big family like I do. There’s over 50 of us on my dad’s side – then count my mom’s family and my friends and co-workers…wow…I’d have more then a handful.
Denise has a point… besides, if you’re more or less a household name like Moore was, 75 is LESS than a handful, relatively speaking — don’t you think?
Good point. I just know that I’d be happy if there are 75 people celebrating my life.
