Kansans should be embarassed for falling for this old prank. I guess it’s not as bad as the panic stirred by the Wells’ and Welles’ War Of The Worlds broadcast that had residents of Grovers Mill (now Princeton Junction I think) getting out their shotguns and running into the fields. To be fair, the War of the Worlds broadcast wasn’t on April 1 and wasn’t intended as a prank.
