There’s quite a lot going on with me at the moment, and I hope to have something to talk more about it in a couple of weeks. In the mean time, my weekends have been mostly spent working at marching band competitions. Music people are good people. I think I’ve had at least two offers from music teachers who’d like me to help out with their marching band programs next fall… that’s something to think about.
It would be nice to be more involved with the students than just running these shows as I’ve been doing this fall. But I think it’s better off for me as not a full-time thing.

What? Only two ELO albums? I’m insulted. On the other hand, I’m glad to see a wide variety of Yes albums, although I can’t believe Tales From Topographic Oceans made it to even the middle of the pack at #435. Even most Yes fans will tell you that album (which was a double album with four songs…each comprising one complete side at 20+ minutes a pop) was a little too pretentious, even by Yes standards.
I was glad to see that with FIVE Beatles albums in the top ten, U2 was able to snag a spot that high up. That album deserves it. That and Dark Side of the Moon. Good stuff. They should do more countdowns like that. 🙂
