Sometimes I feel like I hardly get a break. I probably can’t even remember all the things I did this weekend. Luckilly, I managed to include homework in priorities so I can manage to get work done for school and not fail my accounting class. Let’s see.
Bryan paid us a surprise visit this weekend, so Friday night involved poker (which I won this time) and X-Box video games at Darren‘s house (which he no longer owns). It would be a dangerous idea for me to have time to play video games. The game in which the goal is to crash your vehicles and generate the most monetary damage is kind of addictive. It helps to get my road rage and frustrations out in a video game rather than the NJ Turnpike.
Saturday involved a trip to New Hope and the weather was perfect. Amy and I had lunch at the restaurant with the donkey. We had ice cream and visited the requisite shops. That night we caught E.T. playing at Petronello Gardens (the outdoors amphitheater), sponsored by Thomas Sweet.
E.T. was followed by a local student-made film based on Star Wars. I don’t remember the title.
Sunday was errand day, as always. I got a much-needed oil change for my car and Amy and I picked raspberries from Stults Farm. We brought some of these fresh raspberries to a barbecue at Bryan’s parents’ house. I proceeded to play more of that car crash video game.
Following the barbecue, we caught yet another movie (North by Northwest) at Petronello Gardens. I had never seen this one before. It was nothing short of excellent.
Any time over the past weekend not taken up by any of the above activities consisted of either sleep or homework.
You may have walked away with the money, but I still say I won that poker game on principal, since I had a straight, and you threw down your hold cards and said, despite having a flush, “I got nothing”. =)
Whatever makes you feel better about losing… :>

It wasn’t this classic, was it? http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0077658/

Definitely not Hardware Wars. It was made in the last year or so and was filmed in Central Jersey. That’s about all I remember about it other than the plot.
Speaking of playing video games, I’ve got a pretty big finished basement and have always wanted to host a LAN party. The problem being that a) none of my regular friends really play video games anymore and b) aside from reading articles about them, I haven’t really played any new popular games either (aka Halo 2, Doom 3, etc.) and c) I don’t have a wired network, just wireless-G, so I don’t know what kind of effect that would have on lag time.
