DreamHost, my web hosting provider, just tripled its disk space for all users, new and old. Now if only they would triple the number of domains you’re allowed to carry on one plan.

so how does that work if you’re already a member? what do you have to do?
Which plan are you on? I get 15 on Code Monster, and it’s the same price as Sweet Dreams.
Stacey – you don’t have to do anything… if you go to your Dreamhost control panel you’ll see that they’ve tripled the disk space.Julie – I’m on Code Monster. And 15 full domains aren’t enough for me considering my personal ones and ones I host for clients… It’s about $60/year more for just three more full domains I think.. not including domain registration which I get from godaddy usually.
i looked yesterday, and it didn’t look like it tripled.
Stacey, it seemed to be a trickle down effect… when I looked yesterday, I didn’t see the increase either. This morning, a whopping 7680 MB of storage space!
I’m on a Code Monster plan too, and while I’ve only used a little over a third of my domains at this point, I’ve already got the junky itch thing going… domains are so cheap now, why not have 30 or 40 of them? BTW, fwiw, I use http://www.1and1.com to register my domains. $5.99 a year, and a better reputation than go daddy
Thank god they did. I hosted a file the month they did the increase, so instead of having 65 gb, i had 192, which was good, because I used 185 gb of bandwidth that month. Receiving a bill for that would have, in a word, sucked.
