Who Needs Sleep? Me…

Can’t sleep. Can’t sleep. Can’t sleep. Can’t sleep. Can’t sleep. Can’t sleep. Can’t sleep. Can’t sleep. Can’t sleep. Can’t sleep. Can’t sleep. Can’t sleep. It’s amazing how when you type the same words over and over, first they become just patterns of letters, and then they become patterns of finger movements. First they lose their semantic meaning, then they lose all meaning… they are not even letters anymore. Just muscle memory. Can’t sleep. Can’t sleep. Can’t sleep. Can’t sleep. Can’t sleep. Can’t sleep. Can’t sleep. Can’t sleep. Can’t sleep. Can’t sleep. Can’t sleep. Can’t sleep. Maybe I need another vacation or trip or voyage of some sort. Maybe I need to fall in love. Maybe I need new surroundings. Maybe I need something new to be passionate about.

  1. I have trouble sleeping at night, but that just seems to be because that’s when I end up doing all of my thinking. Not by choice…it just turns out that way. They say, though, that if you find that happening, you should not stay in bed but get up and do something else. Otherwise you will start to associate the bed with thinking and not with sleeping, and so the pattern will continue and get worse.

  3. You can always do what my nemesis does when he can’t sleep: show up to work early. As in 3:00 AM early. Im serious. He also burnt my friends car to the ground. That’s not related at all. But I’m just sayin’.

  4. Yeah, I try to associate my bed with sleeping only. That’s why I got up and went to the computer and wrote this entry. I used to have even worse sleeping issues, and when reading up on it, I did learn that the bed… and the bedroom… should only be associated with one activity (sleep). Well, there is a second activity that is okay.
