A New Entry

For those of you somewhat disturbed by my last entry, I apologize.

On Saturday, I taught a girl how to play On My Own from Les Misérables on the piano. I also went swimming in a pool and got mighty sunburned. I was so red, Denise began to refer to me as Zoidberg. Friday night I went shopping for a pair of snare drum sticks, a practice drum pad, and some other music accessories. There will be more on this point later.

Also on Friday night, I saw my new apartment. Getting around isn’t going to be easy when I won’t have anyone in my household to drive me. A car is still far in the future for me. Maybe I’ll get a bicycle which would at least allow me to get to the grocery store easier.

As time marches on (which it is still doing), I seem to be becoming less desirable. Yes, I certainly used to be sexy, but my hair is growing thinner, I’ve got a little bit of a gut, I don’t have a car, and I don’t have nice shoes. Such is life.

  1. It is inevitable that as we grow older, we tend to look less like what we would like to. But that doesn’t mean that we become less desirable. Don’t underestimate your self-worth. Those of us who know better still like you. 🙂

  2. A – you’re apartment is fine and centrally located that you can either walk to things you need or take a bus or shuttle to them.

B – I tell you on a daily basis that I think you’re sexy, or hot, or cute. I’m in no way obiligated to tell you that and really since I’m your girlfriend, shouldn’t it only matter that *I* think your hot/sexy?

C – I’ve tried to get you to buy cooler shoes multiple times but you don’t want to spend the money on them.

D – My aunt was very appreciative that you taught my cousin how to play On My Own.

  4. I think the lack of car will be detrimental to the shoe situation, but possibly helpful with the gut issue. 😉 So, there you go. A shift is in your future.

  5. Get a bike, if you want to lose whatever weight you think you need to lose, it’s a great form of excercise. As is the walking you’ll be doing to the shuttle stop.
