It’s official. My new favorite sitcomish television show is Arrested Development. I’m catching up on the show thanks to Netflix. I am looking forward to the new season of The West Wing but they better impress me this season.

Oh yeah. Excellent show. I have the first season on DVD, but I guess you’re already watching it on Netflix, so nevermind. You should also check out Kitchen Confidential, which is on right after Arrested Development. It’s got a similar feel to it. Also, Netflix Freaks and Geeks, which is another excellent show in an Arrested Development-esque way.
I still wanna see Lost but I’m afraid to watch it one season too late. In the meantime, I’ll continue to stay up late and creep myself out with Ghost Hunters.
Well, Doob, if you hurry and watch season 1 of Lost on DVD, I’m saving the current season episodes on my Tivo for Stacey, who is currently also trying to watch season 1 so that she can start watching season 2. I could be persuaded to hang on to the episodes (or put them on tape) for you, as well. But you’ve got to be quick about it, because I don’t want to be saving lots and lots of hours of it forever. Or, seeing as you also have a Tivo, you could record the episodes yourself, and just watch them after you’ve watched the DVDs. I wouldn’t just start watching it from the beginning of season 2, though. You’ll be HORRIBLY lost (no pun intended).
I’d take you up on your offer but there’s so much unwatched shit on my tivo it’s scary.I still have the last four episodes of “Enterprise” sitting there.
I love Arrested Development, but at times it can be a bit too in-jokey. If that makes sense. I second the Freaks & Geeks recommendation.
I’d be remiss if I didn’t recommend “Veronica Mars”.
And Doobie – if any of those four episodes of “Enterprise” were the series finale (the one with Riker and the holodeck), just delete it now. Trust me, you’ll be happier if you think of the episode before as the ‘finale’.
Oh, I almost forgot – anyone with HBO should also check out “Extras”, the new show from “The Office” creator and star Ricky Gervais. (The US verison of “The Office” is still worth a look too.)
M-D, I think the last episode I saw was the first part of the “parallel universe” set where the federation was generally evil.
