I don’t want there to be any misconceptions. The “special entertainment” (mentioned below) was not a stripper. Hopefully that will set the record straight.
Is it just me or has the “What happens in x stays in x” meme worn out its welcome?

About a year and a half ago my company held its annual St. Patrick’s Day party in New York, and the proceeds were to benefit Tuesday’s Children. That organization is holding a benefit tonight and invited my company, or at least those in my company who were involved in the planning of the previous event.
No one wanted to go, so I volunteered and Amy agreed to go with me. It should be relaxing — cocktails and food at a nice place in the city. The event is honoring Mayor Giuliani and the New York Mets for “their unwavering support of and dedication to the families who lost loved ones on September 11.” So the mayor will be there as well as some representatives of the team, and I know Amy likes the Mets.
There will be “special entertainment,” whatever that means.
The neat thing about living on the east coast is that you have a unique opportunity. I was watching an episode of Gilmore Girls tonight, and one of the characters mentioned searching for something (Rory Gilmore Sex Boat) on the internet. If you live on the east coast, you can buy the domain name and have it up and running in some form before the episode is aired on the west coast.
Thanks to Dreamhost who scored a point by allowing unlimited domain names and subdomains but lost a point for having another outage today, lasting under two hours.
When you can’t have sharks with frickin’ lasers, you can have dolphins with darts.
I give a whole bunch of my time to others. I used to think that was a good thing. I’m discovering it really hinders the work I need to do on me and my relationships. Maybe this will be the last year I sign away every weekend during the fall. It’s such a great activity to be involved in, it just always interferes with so many other things in my life.
It’s official. My new favorite sitcomish television show is Arrested Development. I’m catching up on the show thanks to Netflix. I am looking forward to the new season of The West Wing but they better impress me this season.
The problem with the increased hurricane activity is although the hurricane season is far from being over, there are only four storm names left. If there we run out of names, it looks like the weatherpeople plan on moving to Greek letter names.
I had some store credit at Eddie Bauer, so I bought some new clothes last week. This shirt is amazingly comfortable. I don’t understand how it’s possible.
Apparently there were Emmy Awards last night, and apparently Jon Stewart was the only thing good about them. No surprise there.
Thanks to a free one-month Netflix trial from Becca. I’ll probably keep Netflix and cancel HBO.
My next class is starting this week — information management or something.
I had no idea monster.com was so effective.
Amy Grant? Just another exhibit on how people are really trying hard to change world philosophy from reality-based faith to faith-based reality. Or maybe it’s just a television show.
