I Feel Bad

This blog has really suffered the past few months. I find myself spending more time on a different one because it attracts many more readers and provides me with a very small additional income. So I’ve been doing most of my blogging over here with an occasional life update over here.

I’d like to get out of the habit.

Moving on. Not only does Starbucks sell coffee, but it also has its own brand of ice cream. Not only does Starbucks have its own brand of ice cream, but it’s also giving it away for free. You can get me to do anything for free ice cream, even drink Starbucks coffee if I absolutely must.

Another Week Begins

I had another good weekend. It involved, as She With No Name On Her Blog So I’m Not Sure How To Link Her Because I Probably Shouldn’t Use Her Real Name But Who Knows For Sure pointed out, a burrito (or in my case, a chimichanga) and lesbian non-porn (Saving Face, a fun New Yorky movie with some parts in subtitles). There was also paddle-wheel boating (I think that’s the official name) in a park on Long Island with Amy. Apparently her blog name comes from a song by a band called “[Something]3,” but I don’t remember what the “Something” part is (and I can’t be bothered to look it up at the moment). If [Something]3 and Maroon5 were to join forces for an on-stage jam… I’d probably Leave8.

I also decided to spruce up my apartment with some plants for the living room and the balcony and some chairs for outside as well. I figure I’ll be there for another year (maybe), so I might as well make the place a little nicer.

Weekend Ahead

The summer is officially here! I believe I mentioned that already. Here’s a look ahead:

My goal is to stay away from the computer for most of the weekend, aside from school work. Your mission, should you choose to accept it, is to keep me busy doing other, fun things.

Happy Summer and Need Techie Suggestion

The season changed today, and in celebration I named the new featured theme on the Mix CD Exchange. I wish I had more time so I could concentrate on improving that site.

Speaking of time, this is going to be an activity-filled summer. I’m looking forward to it.

The organization for which I am on the board of directors is looking to upgrade their overloaded website to a colocated server. The machine (rack-mounting server) they’re looking for should include dual Intel Xeon 3.2 MHz processors, 4 GB RAM, and at least 250 GB of usable hard drive space. I checked Dell. Their price seemed okay ($4,000) but I’m a little wary of Dell due to their horrible customer service stories. Anyone have any other suggestions?

Doctor Who News

Here’s the latest Doctor Who news, since I know you’re all fans. But first, I have to say that the first season of the show’s return has blown away anyone’s expectations. The stories are excellent and the effects are perfectly cheesy in that Doctor Who way.

So here’s the news. Not only will there be a second season (with a different actor playing The Doctor), but Rose, the “companion,” will appear in every episode. Captain Jack will be in half of the episodes. There will be a Christmas special later this year, and one next year as well.

Most importantly, the show has been renewed for a third season as well.

Holy Shit

Roger Waters, David Gilmour, Nick Mason, and Rick Wright will be performing together as Pink Floyd for the Live 8 concert in Hyde Park. Thanks to my bro who made me aware of this. If pigs weren’t flying over Battersea Power Station before, they are now.

Weekend Update

It’s been another busy weekend for me. I need a vacation, even though I just had one. When did I go to California? The middle of April? It seems like such a long time ago.

Warning: This is a long post. Read at your own risk. I haven’t really updated much on what I’ve been doing with my time, so here’s a “glance” at my weekend, since weekdays are generally full of nothing but work and class.
