The Spirit of Hanukkah

I stepped out of my car into the drizzle after arriving home. Without being too hopeful, I wondered if I had gotten anything in the mail to make me smile. After trudging over to my mailbox and and reaching inside, I found nothing but an envelope from an unnamed company in Wilmington, Delaware. Another credit offer, undoubtedly. No, there was nothing in my mailbox to make me smile, so I trudged up the steps to my apartment.

To my surprise, there was a box sitting squarely on my welcome mat. As I approached, I could tell that the box was from Amazon.com. Thank you for one of my first presents for the holidays! I certainly smiled, and I’m sure I’ll do more of that while reading the book.

  1. Yes, but that is not always a perfect technique; sometimes people by things off someone’s wishlist from somewhere other than Amazon.com (hard to imagine, but true) and thus the purchased would not be reflected on the wish list. :>
