Wilkommen, Bienvenue

Monday night has apparently been “Broadway show night” for the past two weeks. Last night I saw Cabaret at the famous Studio 54, courtesy of Brian’s roommate who works at Video Hits One. I had seen a production of it back in college (it was put on by the E-52 Student Theatre Company) so I knew about the show… Denise seemed surprised that it was all about sex and Nazis. So was the father in front of us who brought his daughter and three of her friends.

John Stamos played the emcee (and was undoubtedly the reason the kids in front of us came to see the show) and it was directed by Sam Mendes who you may remember from such films as Road to Perdition and American Beauty.

  3. Ooh! Ooh! That was me! She did indeed gasp loudly. It was wonderful.

Except we were luckier, because we got to see Lea Thompson dance around in her underwear.

(And geez, it IS called Cabaret. Does Mr. Father not know what a cabaret is? Did he do ANY research before whisking children off to the theater? Sheesh.)
