I am now officially sans auto. Over the weekend, I sold my car for $1 to my father, who wanted the fun of putting an ad in the papers and selling it for some price better than $1. Hopefully, we’ll get enough money for the car to pay for the remaining payments. Now I can cancel my car insurance and save thousands of dollars this year. On the other hand, being without a car makes it almost impossible for me to visit people unless they’re willing to put in some effort (such as meeting me at a train station or coming up to visit me).
It’s a good thing I get along with my roommate.
Not true. You live right by a PATH station, which means you can reach the city OR the Windsors (via NJTransit).
Yeah, while I could meet someone in the city (Hi, Stacey), someone would still have to pick me up from the train station on arrival to Princeton Junction or Hamilton or wherever. If you’re suggesting I take a NJ Transit bus, I could make it to Quakerbridge Mall from Jersey City taking buses and trains with a total of four connections, and then I’d still have to walk to, for example, Darren’s house. Seems a little excessive to me.
Dude…the train station is 5 minutes from my house. I’d have no problem whatsoever in picking you up. Let me know when you’re coming and I’ll be there. 🙂
the city. next week. a group of us are planning to see a version of macbeth next friday (19th)… interested?
MmmMmmMacBeth. Sounds good.
