For those who are lonely this Valetine’s Day, soon it will be easier to get a friendly feline companion, maybe even designed to your specifications.
Month: February 2002
So… February 14
Happy Valetine’s Day. It’s interesting. I guess they say when you’ve lost something, you should still be thankful for the things you still have. I’m thankful that my family still loves me despite the stupid things I’ve done. I’m thankful for Anna, who is letting me stay at her house until I get a new job. I’m thankful for the one or two friends who have helped me when I needed support, or when I just needed a friend. I am thankful that the people I may have hurt in the past, while they may not be able to turn to me for support, have people they can turn to. I am thankful that there is still love in the world to be found somewhere, someday.
Gold Medal Revisited
Looks like Jamie Sale (and her partner) might end up having a chance to be issued a gold medal after all. What do I think? Eh, it doesn’t really matter. I’m only posting this as an excuse to put up another picture of Jamie.
Everyone’s Your Friend In NYC Part II
I decided to get out of the house and do something interesting last night, which was muchly needed. I met Stacey in the city for some dinner at the Chimmichurri Grill, with meat so good that they had to roll us out the door. We then headed over to the movie theater to catch Scotland, Pa. The movie was a shocking exposé on the trailer-trash beginnings of a fast food megacorporation, and somehow they were able to throw some Shakespeare-ish moments in there.
That’s a terrible description of the movie. It would be more accurate to say it was a strange film with Christopher Walken, Maura Tierney, Andy Dick, and some other actors who may or may not matter.
After the movie, which I did like, despite all the bad reviews (the only good review I’ve found coming from Nick), we headed to Friday’s for some warm apple crisp and brownie something-or-other.
I like New York.
Utah’s A Lovely State
This guy writes from behind the scenes at the Olympics. Pretty interesting stuff goes on there, sometimes even hilarious stuff.
Of Wishing, Wanting and Doing
If I believed in horoscopes, this would be a good day…
Lately you may have been alternating between enthusiasm and total boredom with regard to your career, dear Pisces. Perhaps you aren’t all that sure if you want to continue doing what you’re doing. However, today, unexpected information could come your way, which may indeed point the way and open the door for new plans and positive opportunities. Don’t let insecurity stand in your way. This could be the break you’ve been waiting for!
Should I Be Nervous?
I’m going in NYC later this evening for dinner and a movie. Should I be concerned about this type of thing going on, while the FBI are on high alert due to a terror threat?
I Like Figure Skating…
This girl should win the Olympic gold medal, if cuteness were the only measurement.
But that’s not the only reason I like figure skating. The other night, some couple came out with a Pink Floyd program. They skated to the edited sounds of Shine On You Crazy Diamond, which is an amazing piece of music. I used it in a music analysis project in college… it was fun to analyze that type of music instead of the usual Mozart and such. The best part about that is that you can get as much out of it as you can from Mozart.
What Goes Around Comes Around
A Legend From The University of Delaware
Make sure you read all the way to the bottom, or else you’ll miss my point, which is: Only The Best Of All Things Come From The University Of Delaware (my alma mater).
It’s Funny When You Think About It
It’s strange how technology in the Star Trek television series and movies has shaped what scientists look to discover. The basic underpinnings of teleportation have been discovered.
