The Mud Bowl

I just got back from Elmer, New Jersey, the site of the Appel Farm Arts and Music Fest. The performers included Dar Williams, Erin McKeown and Lucida Williams. Luckilly, we missed the downpouring–but we had to deal with a little drizzle and a lot of mud. Alissa showed up with Angie, Scott and Shauna. I went down to the concert with Ali and Jim, and Becky arrived a little later. Everyone got along really well. Even though we could not see the stage from where we were sitting, and the speakers in front of us cut out several times during the show, we had a great time. Scott had his digital camera so maybe he’ll email me some of the pictures he took. Unfortunately, I forgot my own camera this year.

Live music is always a great experience–never pass up the opportunity to go to a good concert.

I can’t seem to face

I can’t seem to face up to the facts
I’m tense and nervous and I can’t relax
I can’t sleep ’cause my bed’s on fire
Don’t touch me–I’m a real live wire.
