I’ve made some progress in the search for a new place to live. Rent.net found me someone who has an apartment and is looking for a roommate in Jersey City. I called up the guy and we set some time on Monday to meet so he can show me the place. The rent would be either $400/mo for one bedroom or $650/mo if I buy out the second of three bedrooms. I’d probably buy out the other bedroom — I think I can afford that. I’d still be paying a lot in tolls to and from work to live in Jersey City, but I’d be spending less money on gasoline.
But you’d live in Jersey City…far away from us…and that would SUCK!
I’d still come down to hang out, and I’d even bring Stacey with me, because she’ll just be able to hop on the Path from NYC to get to my place!
yes yes…. darren we already discussed it… and really it will make me visiting much easier 🙂
plus you could come see spike and i could meet you there too!
It won’t be the same. We’ll never see you guys again. I know the way it works. Vanessa and Devon only live in New Brunswick, and we never see them…..:(
“I didn’t see much of the guys after that summer…” (“Stand by Me” plays in background)
Darren, this just means that if we want to see Spike and Stacey, we’re going to have to get off our asses and go up north once and a while. (Plus, Jersey City is pretty nice these days…)
No, no, no…it’s not the same. I can’t just call up Spike and go, “Hey…wanna come over and hang out?” Cause then it’s like, “Well, I have to drive 45 minutes to get there, and what are we gonna do and I think I’ll just stay here.” There will have to be a plan, things to do…there will be no more just “hanging-out”. It’ll be sad….
45 minutes? I can make it there in 30. (Of course, I’d be doing 90 mph, but stilll…) My point is it’s not as far away as it seems.
