More Live Music

This Friday night, as long as Stacey and I can get tickets, I’m going to see the New York Philharmonic. It is an all Mozart concert, including the 25th and 36th Symphonies, as well as the Mozart Clarinet Concerto, with Stanley Drucker on solo. I wonder if he’ll play the piece on a Bb or A clarinet. I highly doubt he’ll be playing the piece on the instrument it was written for — a bassett clarinet. You don’t see those too often anymore.

according to the lion’s den site it seems danny white is only one of many acts… and he’s playing from 8:30-9:30pm. although *his* website says 9pm. so… first let me go see about the phil tix. ah!

  2. Actually, it’s okay, Stace. I don’t think I really want to go all that much, anyway. I mean, it might be fun, and all, but in the long run, I think I’d probably just end up grumpy (change of pace, huh?).
