Well, DSL’s now installed at work, although it doesn’t seem to be as fast as the cable modem I have at home. Now only a few more problems to work out. We still won’t get any email from the outside until our friends who provide our website change some settings.

Wouldn’t you know it, I’m
Wouldn’t you know it, I’m back from Texas.
THE LOW-DOWN
I jumped on the plane Friday night, arrived in Houston that night, worked Saturday, jumped on the plane Saturday night, arrived in Dallas Saturday night, worked Sunday, jumped on the plane early Monday morning, and arrived home some time this afternoon.
AIR-TRAN
The flight from Philly to Houston had a stop-over in Atlanta, the main hub for almost all of the AirTran flights. As you should know by now, AirTran is the new face of ValuJet. You can certainly imagine that passengers on this flight may be a little nervous about taking a ride in these airplanes. The first flight crew of the weekend must have taken this into consideration; they were cracking jokes the entire flight. For example, the head flight attendant made an announcement at the beginning of the flight warning passengers, “Not only is this a non-smoking flight, it is also a non-talking flight. The pilot will need absolute silence from the cabin once the plane is airborne.”
The pilot chimed in with an announcement as we traveled from Philadelphia to Atlanta: “If you look out the left side of the aircraft, you will see one of the most beautiful sites in the United States — the Grand Canyon.” Everyone turns to look and pilot pauses for a second. “Those of you who are still looking, that’s pretty pitiful.”
We hoped that the rest of the AirTran flights would be as humorous. Unfortunately, they weren’t quite nearly as much.
More stories to come…
So there was no TMBG
So there was no TMBG for me tonight. No thirteen-piece band, no trip to New York. Maybe next time. Always remember though: Music Self-Played is Happiness Self-Made.
But I am off to Dallas, Texas, tomorrow, followed by Houston the next day. Eventually I’ll end up back here. I miss my apartment. I haven’t seen it much lately.
Speaking of the apartment, the big question on my mind these days is what to do when the lease runs out. Do I move closer to work and find a roommate? Do I really want to live in North Jersey? And then what if the office moves? Do I stay down here in this area and find a new roommate?
I believe I’ll be going
I believe I’ll be going to Texas this coming weekend. I’ve never been on so many airplanes in such a short period of time. Last weekend I had to fly to Cincinnati to get to Florida. I’ll probably have to stop off in Anchorage, Alaska in order to get to Houston or Dallas — wherever I happen to be headed.
Back from West Palm Beach.
Back from West Palm Beach. Weather was nice. Helped count the votes. Write more later.
Only forty-five minutes left until
Only forty-five minutes left until I leave for Florida. Have fun while I’m away. Jen‘s birthday is this weekend, and everyone’s going to an Ethiopian restaurant tonight, but I’m missing out. It will be good to get some sun and relaxation, though, so I’m looking forward to it. The good thing is, I’m going to Palm Beach County, which seems to have fostered quite a bit of media press recently, what with this whole “election” thing. Maybe I’ll get a chance to set them straight down there.
I have to do laundry
I have to do laundry tonight to prepare for my trip tomorrow and I haven’t left the office yet. Well, here I go.
Wasn’t that absolutely TIGHT!?

If you’ve been watching my webcam, you would have noticed that I did finally get a haircut yesterday. It’s about time, I was getting kind of shaggy. I hadn’t had one since the middle of August. I think, at least until next fall I’ll be able to get my hair cut on a fairly regular basis.
Well. I guess there’s just
Well. I guess there’s just nothing interesting going on in my life right now. It does look like I’ll be going to Florida this weekend, I guess that’s kind of exciting. I will be in Lantana, so if you’re in the area, stop by the high school to say, “Hi!” while I am working.
