Don’t you love when people leave you voice mail messages which contain nothing but strange “on-hold” Musak? I’ve never heard steel drums sound so… cheesy.

As I’m watching USA’s Dream
As I’m watching USA’s Dream Team play against Italy in Olympic Basketball, I realize that something is missing. Bands. And cheerleaders. Bands and cheerleaders are missing from the games. Maybe I’m just too used to the college NCAA experience, but bands and cheerleaders seem to add a lot to a game. Even the coaches acknowledge what a help pep bands are for the team.
What should I do for
What should I do for new year’s?
Okay, I think it’s just
Okay, I think it’s just about time to take fifteen minutes for myself and try to relax a little before diving back into work. I bet that if I were the daughter of the most prominent political figure in the world, I’d get to enjoy the Olympics in Sydney, too. Alas, I am not.
Speaking of Dar Williams, her
Speaking of Dar Williams, her old site is back up (linked below is her newer site, or at least it was her newer site until the old one was redone), but it still needs a lot of work. My default Explorer background color is not always white, so overlooked details like window background colors always tend to stick out for me.
Is it six o’clock already?
Is it six o’clock already? Time surely flies when you’ve been working pretty hard for eight hours without much of a break. I guess I’ll take a little break now before our two-to-three-hour department meeting.
I went to the Newton Colony Arts and Music Family Festival yesterday to see Dar Williams perform. Her music sounded great with the new band and I really like her new songs. The weather is started to get cooler, and while everyone was talking about how the weather was perfect outside, I never really liked this type of climate. The sun was pretty warm but there was also a really old breeze, so if you were in the shade it was pretty cold. I’d rather just be moderately warm.
There were some other performers at the concert, but nothing stuck me as worth mentioning, except that I liked Wilco — not necessarily their songs, but the band was very good.
I found an intersting quote
I found an intersting quote by Jeffrey Zeldman tonight: What happens when a site begins to become unreliable? First-time visitors don’t come back. Regulars start to mistrust the site.
This is what’s going on right now with [DELETED]. The transaction server was finally up today after being down since September 3rd. Visitors could browse the store, pick things out, but they could not buy anything. We must have lost several thousand dollars of potential sales. I hope this never happens again, or it’s definitely time to find a new host.
Full moon. Lightning. Thunder. I
Full moon. Lightning. Thunder.
I saw the movie American Psycho tonight with Bryan and Jen. Christian Bale has a very convincing American accent. This was another one of those movies, along with Fight Club, that really makes you think about the characters. I like that in a movie.
Ohh… loud thunder. Nice!
And then after working on
And then after working on Saturday, on Sunday I’ll be going to see the Newton Colony Arts and Music Family Festival in Collingswood, NJ. Dar will be there.
Once again, I am working
Once again, I am working this weekend. Let me tell you a little bit about my job.

You know, the dirtiest key on my keyboard is the one key I’ve never touched: the right side “Windows” key.
