Where did all the passion in my life go?

You want to hear my
You want to hear my newest wonderful realization? I’ve come to the conclusion I am mediocre. Not good, not bad, but mediocre. At everything. Yes, everything I do, from my musical abilities to web design and sometimes even socialization skills. Unfortunately I’m also mediocre at motivating myself to improve. What have I added to the world so far in my life? Nothing positive and nothing negative. Therefore, the world would be pretty much the same if I never existed. I’m a mediocre worker, a mediocre friend and a mediocre lover.
I’m a good eater, that is, when I can afford food.
I really don’t like complaining about myself and I’d hate for any readers to think I want pity or anything. As you know, this is just where I write what I think and feel, so if it bothers you then I won’t mind if you go away…
I took the long way
I took the long way to work this morning. I will take the long way home, too. My goal is to avoid the toll roads as much as possible.
Isn’t it funny how you
Isn’t it funny how you can love yourself one minute and then hate yourself the next? Isn’t it funny? I think it is.
I had a great day today at the Tom Peters seminar. He has quite a few intersting ideas about business, some of which I knew subconsciously and some of which was completely new to me. I hope I can take in some of what he said and apply it to my own still-forming philosophies of life.
On the other hand, when I got home, I found out what an irresponsible jerk I am — as if I didn’t know already, at least in the back of my mind.
Ouch. Let’s just say there’s
Ouch. Let’s just say there’s a number, higher than 200 but less than 1,000. Now put a dollar symbol in front of that number. From here you can either subtract that number from itself twice or just stick a little dash in front of it.
That is what I have in my bank account. Who needs food? Who needs gas?
Also, before I left, I
Also, before I left, I did get a new haircut. Let’s just say it’s very short.
I’m back from my weekend
I’m back from my weekend in Maryland. We arrived home very early this morning, around 4:00 am. What a fastantic weekend. The weather was beautiful, even if a little hot. The shows were fantastic, and maybe you saw the broadcast live on PBS. At the finals competition, for the second year in a row, there was a tie. You could tell the fans were not happy with the outcme, but the good news is both The Cadets and the Cavaliers are now World Champions.
Bryan and I went into the weekend without a place to sleep Friday night. That was probably a little unwise, but I guess I really wasn’t expecting to go down until Saturday in the first place. It turns out all the hotels in the area were sold out, so we had to drive a little bit in order to find a place that had something available.
During some down time, I started reading the first Harry Potter book, just to see what all the fuss is about.
Tomorrow, after getting my hair
Tomorrow, after getting my hair cut, I will be off to DC. Well, not exactly DC. I will be going (and taking Bryan with me) to College Park, MD to see Drum Corps International‘s semi-finals and finals. Therefore I’ll be gone until late Saturday morning or Sunday afternoon, depending on if we feel like coming back late Saturday night. I know you’ll miss me. You can email me and tell me how much you are missing me.
The weather forecast is calling
The weather forecast is calling for a thunderstorm. That would be nice right about now.
Sunday night, as you may
Sunday night, as you may have read, was a drum corps show at Giants Stadium. [DELETED] it’s always a rather neat feeling to have access to go wherever you want, especially at a major venue you see on television all the time (well, if you watch sports).
